Childcare
What we’re about:
LakeShore is all about children! Our Children’s Ministry provides an exciting, fun and safe environment for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Your children will be encouraged and will have an opportunity to experience firsthand the love of Christ! Our heart is for Sunday to be your child’s BEST day of the week. We want to give every child the chance to know Christ, to grow and mature in Christ, & to show Christ in their lives!
Safety & Security:
Your child’s safety is our utmost priority. Our children’s ministry staff is comprised of parents, as well as volunteer workers, who love children and are trained in appropriate security & safety procedures. Background checks are done on all workers, and the children’s classrooms are accessible through only one check-in point.
What to expect when you come:
LakeShore provides 3 services on Sunday morning with several different opportunities to engage your children. Here’s a look at what you might experience when attending one of our regular weekend services:
Check-in and Pick-up Procedures:
All children, (Kindergarten-5th grade) are checked into the Children’s Dept. through the Check-In Desk located on the north front section of the building.
Check-in:
- A Parent/Legal Guardian must be present when checking in their children.
- A Family Card is given to the Parent/Legal Guardian with the children’s name written on the family card. The child’s name will then be written on the appropriate class nametag and then placed on the child. The Family Card will remain in the possession of the Parent/Legal Guardian until the children are picked up.
Pick-up:
After the service, please present your Family Card to the Check-In Desk Attendant. No child will be released without the Family Card.
- In exchange for the Family Card, the Parent/Legal Guardian is given a numbered Claim Ticket for their children and asked to wait.
- The Family Card and the matching numbered Claim Ticket is then given to a Runner.
- The Runner will retrieve the children and walk them to their Parent/Legal Guardian. The Runner will match his/her numbered Claim Ticket to the Parent/Legal Guardian’s numbered Claim Ticket to make sure the kids are released to the right person.
Please double check to make sure all your child’s belongings are returned when picked up. A Lost & Found is kept at the Nursery Check-In Desk for all left items. After 30 days, all unclaimed items are taken to Helping Hands.
